Bob Burbidge, founder of Genesis Consolidated Services, Inc., has owned and operated Genesis since its start in 1991. By focusing on serving the unique human resources, payroll, risk management and benefits needs of his clients with committed, knowledgeable and personalized service, Bob has grown Genesis into the organization that it is today: the largest accredited Professional Employer Organization (PEO) based in New England.
Bob is a past President of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO) and served on their Board of Directors from 1998-2004. He is also Past President and Treasurer of the New England chapter of NAPEO. In 2005, he was awarded the Michaeline A. Doyle Award, NAPEO’s highest award for leadership and commitment to improve the PEO industry.
Bob has been actively involved in the staffing industry since 1978. From 1984 to 1991, as a Partner and President of National Engineering Service Corporation, he oversaw the growth of a company that also received recognition from Inc. Magazine, ranking 111th on their 1988 Inc. 500 list. Profoundly committed to the industry, Bob has also been instrumental in the passage of the New Hampshire Employee Leasing Act (1994) and in promoting similar legislation in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Vermont.
Bob received a B.S. in Business Administration from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Boston University.
Diane Stevenson is the Chief Financial Officer and an owner in the company. She’s also a key member of the senior management team that guides the organization. Diane oversees all the financial operations and directs the financial planning and accounting practices. Under her direction, Genesis continually evaluates its services to ensure that clients have access to state of the industry offerings that will help them grow and be better companies.
An integral part of the company’s dynamic group of team-oriented professionals, Diane was instrumental in helping Genesis obtain and maintain industry accreditation from the Employer Services Assurance Corporation (ESAC). She is also a member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organization (NAPEO) Accounting Practices Committee – the committee that sets the standards for the PEO industry.
Prior to joining Genesis, Diane was the Controller for Medical Management Sciences, Inc; the Controller for Search Temps, Inc; and a Senior Tax Consultant for Ernst & Whinney.
Diane is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Accounting, and obtained her CPA designation from the state of New York.
Patty Hilger’s focus is in the strategic, tactical and operations management of the organization, which means she is responsible for the design, operation and improvement of the systems that create and deliver our products and services.
Patty’s extensive human resource management expertise stems from over 15 years in the industry, including developing and delivering HR programs in a multi-state, multi-site environment; developing and implementing programs in support of strategic goals; implementing proactive employee relations strategies; and structuring competitive employee benefit plans while balancing overall costs.
Patty received her B.S. in Business with a concentration in Human Resource Management from Northeastern University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. In addition, Patty holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources certificate (SPHR) and is an active member of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Chris Daft is responsible for overseeing the implementation of our loss control and claims management programs as well as procuring our comprehensive insurance packages.
With over 16 years of Risk Management experience, Chris has extensive knowledge of injury prevention and claim closure methods, including underwriting and risk mitigation. Chris began his career in 1991 with Industrial Health Strategies, a privately held Risk Management firm in Providence, RI. At that time, while serving as Vice President of Operations, Chris gained expertise in occupational rehabilitation, collaborating with employers to successfully return injured employees back to gainful employment. He also worked with employers to develop comprehensive safety and injury prevention programs geared towards protecting valuable human capital while saving businesses in insurance related costs. In 2000, Chris served as Underwriting Manager for The Beacon Mutual Insurance Company, a large New England Workers’ Compensation Insurance carrier, where once again he was involved in assisting small and large businesses in mitigating work related injuries in order to maintain a healthy workplace and reduce employer operating expenses.
Chris received both his B.S. and M.S. from The University of Connecticut and an MBA from Johnson and Wales University. Chris is certified in Industrial Ergonomics by the Oxford Research Institute and serves as an adjunct professor at Roger Williams University in their Occupational Safety degree program.
